Complementary Services

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

We provide technical support and Environmental Statement Chapters to EIA projects, which are often required as part of planning applications for major schemes.  In addition, through our partnerships and strong links with specialist consultancies, we provide transportation, ecology, archaeology, acoustics, air quality and flood assessment support to the design team.

We offer a coherent approach to site assessment and provide the initial desk-based assessment of the historic environment.  This enables the archaeological potential of a site to be determined appropriately in response to the planning authority and potential impact of development proposals.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

The trend towards using more sustainable energy sources to produce lower CO2 emissions has led to heat pump systems being commonly considered for new builds and extensions.  Not all sites are suitable for such installations, therefore we provide a detailed desk study assessment giving a comprehensive profile of the site to assist in the decision making process.  We also provide design and supervision services for GSHP installations.

Microbiological Assessment

We undertake site investigations and produce microbiological risk assessments to identify microbiological hazards, such as those from Anthrax, quantifying the risks to human health and the environment and recommending methods for mitigating or reducing potential impacts.

Invasive Species Control and Eradication

We provide advice, appropriate control and eradication of invasive species, such as Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed, in accordance with regulatory authority requirements and current guidance.
